Rumic has identified an increased demand for the supply and maintenance of database systems. The use of the databases range from the locating of marine equipment assets to assist the Royal Navy Submarine Rescue System to the locating of safety documentation relating to specific buildings within the nuclear industry.

Rumic have developed a database for the Royal Navy to assist in the resourcing of suitable support vessels and rescue equipment in the event of a subsea emergency. The position of the vessels and equipment is displayed on a detailed world map showing cities, ports and airports giving the ability to rapidly assess deployment strategies and select the most efficient combination of aircraft, vessels and equipment. Vital information covering contact details, reports on vessel data, deck plans and photographs can be accessed and displayed or printed for reference.

Rumic Limited provide Worldwide Emergency Support Services Databases for clients to enhance reaction time to accident scenarios. Data is updated regularly via dedicated telephone line, floppy disk or email according to requirements. The databases are currently utilised by clients in the defence and transport industries operating in a marine environment, but the concept can be adapted to suit other military and commercial applications.

Rumic developed our “3D” database as a response to the need to supply survey data captured in a wide range of formats in a coherent manner. All the data is linked via the position of the survey. Video, still and documentary information is accessible by clicking on the model or image.
