3D VISUALISATION |
| Using the latest computer technology Rumic Limited
are able to undertake computer modelling and visualisation
of components, assemblies or even complete engineering
facilities. We specialise in converting data in one
form into a more easily visualised product, for example,
the conversion of legacy 2D drawings, Sonar results
or other survey data into 3D models. |

|
| A common problem with the management
of large facilities and assemblies is the difficulty
in communicating and evaluating proposed changes. Traditional
2D drawings fall far short as the complexity of the
assembly increases, while photographs are excellent
for external features they do not convey the underlying
internal structure. A 3D model can be viewed from any
angle, objects made transparent or removed, objects
viewed in isolation, alternative configurations viewed
simultaneously. Providing engineers with an effective
means of communicating with non-technical colleagues,
clients, and subcontractors.

In some instances it is advantageous
to be able to view the operation of certain components.
Rumic can model the component and demonstrate its functionality
and performance characteristics. |

| Proving a new piece of hardware
will actually fit prior to manufacture is sometimes
difficult to demonstrate. By simulationg the new interface
we can demonstrate a high level of confidence. |

|
| As part of the design process
the interaction between existing and
new equipment can be demonstrated
by animating the models developed
during the design process. |

| The ability to build up a 3D image
to form part of a survey report is advantageous to the
client. It gives the client data in a form where estimates
of sediment and debris can be made quickly and accurately. |

| Sonar results superimposed over
a facility model, enabling visualisation
of the sludge sediments in an area
that precludes man access because
of high radiation levels. |
